Jual Oram Signals Political Comeback Amid Controversy

Union Minister Jual Oram has issued a stern warning against attempts to discredit him, declaring that any move to oust him will be met with “strong retaliation.”

His remarks follow the arrest of Prakash Paswan, a youth leader and Oram’s representative in Rourkela Municipal Corporation, who was linked to a criminal case after a raid on a room booked in his name.

Oram alleged that vested interests were spending money to tarnish his image and secure a place in the Union Cabinet by removing him.

Despite earlier announcing he would not contest elections, he has now signalled a political comeback, stating he will fight again.

He has briefed BJP’s organisational secretary Manas Mohanty about the matter and hinted at escalating it to central leadership if necessary.

On social media, Oram acknowledged Paswan as his active worker but insisted on an impartial investigation, saying any proven wrongdoing should be punished by law.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar have remained silent, leaving the future trajectory of this dispute uncertain.
