Jagatsinghpur Staffer Suspended in Spy Camera Scandal
Jagatsinghpur district administration has suspended a Junior Revenue Assistant, Sanjay Adheka, after a spy camera was discovered inside the women’s toilet at the Zilla Parishad office.
The Collector and District Magistrate ordered the suspension, citing prima facie evidence of misconduct.
Officials stated that the act grossly violates women’s privacy and dignity, and is punishable under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
The suspension is temporary pending a detailed inquiry.
Authorities assured strict action once the investigation report is finalised.
The incident has sparked outrage among staff and locals, with demands for accountability and stronger safeguards to protect women’s privacy in government offices.
