IOCL Assures Odisha: Fuel Stocks Adequate, No Shortage

Bhubaneswar, May 16: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has assured that fuel stocks across Odisha remain adequate, urging citizens not to panic amid rumours of shortages.

IOCL’s Chief General Manager Kamal Sheel appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary queues at petrol pumps and purchase only the required amount of fuel.

He emphasised that the supply chain is intact and that panic buying could create artificial scarcity.

Supporting the statement, the Utkal Petroleum Dealers’ Association confirmed that fuel distribution continues uninterrupted.

General Secretary Sanjay Lath noted that replenishment of stocks will take place on Sunday, with full stability expected by Monday evening.

The reassurance comes after reports of panic buying in several districts.

Authorities reiterated that citizens should rely on official communication and not be misled by rumours.
