IMD Sounds Yellow Alert: Thunderstorms to Lash 14 Odisha Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert warning of thunderstorms accompanied by rain across 14 districts of Odisha in the next three hours.

The affected districts include Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khorda (including Bhubaneswar city), Puri, Jajpur, Anugul, Nuapada, Baragarh, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Nayagarh. Residents are advised to remain indoors during thunderstorms, avoid open areas, and stay updated on weather advisories.

The IMD has cautioned that light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely, urging people to plan activities with caution.

Authorities have also been alerted to monitor the situation and ensure public safety.
