IMD Issues Yellow Warning for Rain, Thunder in Five Odisha Districts
Bhubaneswar, Sept 19: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow nowcast warning for light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunder in five districts of Odisha.
The alert, released at 11:30 am, is valid for the next three hours.
Districts under warning include Baleshwar, Jagatsinghpur, Balangir, Bargada, and Anugola.
Residents are advised to remain cautious, avoid open areas during thunderstorms, and follow safety guidelines to minimise risks.
The IMD’s advisory highlights the need for preparedness as sudden weather changes may disrupt daily activities.
Authorities have urged people to stay updated on further alerts and take necessary precautions.
