HCL Technologies to Invest ₹730 Crore in Khordha IT Hub

Odisha is set to witness a major boost in industrial development as HCL Technologies announced plans to establish a Global Development Centre in Khordha with an investment of Rs 730 crore.

The decision follows Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s appeal during his visit to HCL’s Noida office last year.

The announcement came during the 148th State-Level Single Window Committee meeting, where the government approved 23 projects worth Rs 4,573.87 crore, expected to generate 22,873 jobs across multiple districts.

Key projects include:

• Growing Tree Oil & Refinery: Rs 250 crore food oil plant in Nuapada and dairy project in Cuttack.
• Textile Investments: Richa Global Exports, Astha Cutspin, SPL Industries in Puri and Balangir.
• ACME Cleantech Solutions: Rs 778 crore alkaline electrolyser plant in Ganjam.
• DN Riverside Township: Rs 275.89 crore hospital project.
• Tata Steel: Rs 165.30 crore railway siding in Keonjhar.
• Envirocare Infrasolutions: Rs 351 crore solar power plant in Anugul.
• GGV Battery India: Rs 202.50 crore zinc anode battery plant in Cuttack.

These projects span IT, textiles, food processing, clean energy, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, steel, medical devices, and chemicals, reflecting Odisha’s push for industrial diversification.

With Khordha emerging as a new IT hub, the state government aims to strengthen Odisha’s position as a preferred investment destination.
