Bhubaneswar: Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati has called for a collective effort from government, citizens, industry, academia, civil society, and media to shape a prosperous Odisha by 2036.

Speaking at the Abhyudaya Conclave 2026, he emphasised that value addition in mineral resources, innovation, entrepreneurship, and quality employment must drive the state’s development.

Highlighting education as a cornerstone, the Governor urged the establishment of centres of excellence in knowledge, research, and innovation to prepare youth as both job creators and job seekers.

He underscored women‑led development, stressing dignity, leadership, and empowerment as essential for Odisha’s growth.

Dr Kambhampati also praised Odisha’s achievements in disaster management and sports infrastructure, while urging the media to inspire change by telling stories of farmers, entrepreneurs, athletes, and scientists.

He concluded that development must be measured not only by economic growth and infrastructure but also by education quality, women’s dignity, community resilience, health, and youth confidence.
