Four Minors Rescued From Chhatrapur Railway Station, Two Detained in Suspected Trafficking Case

In a late-night joint operation at Chhatrapur railway station in Ganjam district, authorities rescued four minors from suspected traffickers.

The Labour Department, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Railway Protection Force (RPF), and local police coordinated the rescue.

Two individuals believed to be involved in trafficking were detained, and the vehicle used to transport the children was seized.

The minors, hailing from Chhatrapur and Purushottampur, were allegedly being taken to Surat, Gujarat.

Officials confirmed that the children will be presented before the Shishu Mangal Samiti for care, counselling, and rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, police are interrogating the suspects to uncover the trafficking network, with further investigation underway.
