Dharmendra Pradhan Launches Rs 280‑Crore Development Projects in Deogarh

Deogarh, April 25: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated and laid foundation stones for infrastructure projects worth Rs 278.49 crore in Deogarh district, marking a major boost for the region’s socio‑economic development.

A total of 63 projects from 15 departments were digitally inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for 61 projects from 10 departments.

The initiatives span agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, irrigation, education, and healthcare, aiming to benefit nearly one lakh families.

Pradhan underscored the importance of empowering women, highlighting the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam as a landmark step for greater representation in Parliament and assemblies.

He criticised opposition parties for resisting women’s seat expansion.

Local leaders also shared their priorities: Minister Rabi Narayan Naik emphasised welfare schemes and public consultation, while MLA Romancha Ranjan Biswal urged focus on tourism, agro‑industries, and infrastructure, including a new flyover route.

Additionally, financial aid worth Rs 37 lakh was distributed under marriage, education, and social security schemes, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive growth.
