Bhubaneswar, April 8, 2026: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has called upon citizens to participate in mass blood donation drives during Odia Paksha 2026.
The appeal coincides with the cultural festival that celebrates Odia identity and heritage.
Majhi described blood donation as the “noblest way to save lives,” stressing that “blood donation is life donation.” He urged people to pledge voluntary participation in camps being organised across the state on April 8.
The Chief Minister linked the humanitarian act to cultural pride, saying that donating blood during Odia Paksha strengthens both community service and Odia identity.
His message concluded with invocations of “Jai Jagannath” and “Vande Utkal Janani,” reinforcing unity and spiritual devotion.
