Bollywood Star Sanjay Mishra Falls in Love with Puri Mahaprasad
Bollywood veteran Sanjay Mishra has expressed his admiration for Odisha’s rich culinary heritage, particularly the sacred Mahaprasad of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.
During his visit to Odisha in connection with his debut Odia film, the actor said he was captivated by the taste of the temple’s famous Abadha.
According to reports, Sanjay Mishra visited the Jagannath Temple while working on the Odia film Madhu Malati.
The actor described himself as a fan of Odisha’s traditional cuisine after tasting Mahaprasad, a revered offering served at the shrine.
Apart from Mahaprasad, the actor also lavished praise on several popular Odia delicacies, including Chhena Poda, Dahi Bara, and traditional Odia fish preparations.
He appreciated the unique flavours and culinary traditions that make Odisha’s food culture distinctive.
Sanjay Mishra will be seen in a lead role alongside actress Mahasweta in Madhu Malati, marking his first venture into the Odia film industry.
The film is scheduled for release on October 16 during the Dussehra festive season.
