BJD Forms State Monitoring Team Ahead of Electoral Roll Revision in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: In a strategic move ahead of the Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls beginning July 1, 2026, BJD President Naveen Patnaik has constituted a State Level Monitoring Team to strengthen grassroots preparedness.
The high‑power team will oversee Booth Level Agent (BLA) appointments, ensure training across all Assembly Constituencies, and submit weekly progress reports directly to the party president.
The monitoring panel comprises senior leaders Pramila Mallik, Niranjan Pujari, Pratap Jena, Dr Sasmit Patra, Bhrugu Baxipattra, and Bijay Nayak.
Their mandate underscores BJD’s focus on meticulous groundwork and organisational empowerment ahead of the electoral roll revision.
Party insiders view this as a proactive step to streamline coordination and reinforce the party’s machinery at the booth level, ensuring readiness for upcoming electoral exercises.
