BJD Files Complaint Against BJP Leader Prabhat Biswal Over Child Rights Violation
Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has lodged a formal complaint with the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) against BJP leader Prabhat Biswal.
The ruling party alleged that Biswal involved children in political rallies during his induction into the BJP, making them carry party flags, placards, and banners.
A delegation of BJD leaders met the Commission’s chairperson, urging notices to be issued to the Chief Minister, the state BJP president, and Biswal himself.
They demanded a thorough investigation and strict measures to safeguard children’s rights.
The complaint has sparked debate in Odisha’s political circles, with critics emphasising that children should not be drawn into partisan activities.
The BJD has called for immediate intervention to ensure that such practices are curbed in the future.
