BJD Corporator Arrested in ₹1.25 Cr Land Fraud Case in kataka
Purighat police have arrested BJD corporator Satyaram Sahu, representing Ward No. 25 of the Kataka Municipal Corporation, in connection with a land fraud case.
According to police, Sahu allegedly accepted ₹1.25 crore from Guruprasad Maharana of Nima Sahi in 2019, promising to arrange land.
When the promise was not fulfilled, Maharana lodged a complaint, leading to Sahu’s arrest.
He was produced before the court following the police action.
The case highlights growing concerns over fraudulent land dealings in Odisha’s urban centres.
