Barbil Kickboxing Team Shines in Ganjam, Kendujhar District Bags 44 Medals and Two Pro Title Belts
Barbil/Kendujhar: The Barbil kickboxing team has brought immense pride to the Kendujhar district by delivering a stellar performance at the 7th Amateur Kickboxing State Championship 2026, held in Ganjam.
A total of 23 participants from Barbil represented the district and achieved remarkable success.
The team secured an impressive tally of 44 medals — including 28 gold, 5 silver, and 11 bronze medals.
Adding to this glory, two fighters from Barbil competed in the professional fight category and clinched prestigious title belts.
– Miss Anita Gope triumphed in the –60 kg female low‑kick category, winning the pro title belt.
– Mr Bapi Chatterjee emerged victorious in the –57 kg male category, securing the pro title belt.
This achievement marks a proud moment not only for Barbil but for the entire Kendujhar district.
