Water Level Rises to 627.93 ft at Hirakud

The water level at Hirakud Reservoir has risen to 627.93 feet, prompting authorities to open two sluice gates to regulate inflow.

Current inflow stands at 1,06,241 cusecs, while outflow is measured at 68,122 cusecs through spillways, power channels, industrial use, and canals.

Downstream flow shows a declining trend at Munduli, Baramul, Khairmal, Patharla, and Belgaon, easing concerns of flooding.

Officials confirmed that despite partial cloud cover and light rainfall in Hirakud and Burla, there is no flood threat downstream.
