Vigilance Raids Rayagada LAMPCS MD Over Fake Bill Allegations

Bhubaneswar/Rayagada, May 22: Odisha Vigilance officials on Friday raided the residence of Tarini Tripathy, Managing Director of Kalyansinghpur LAMPCS in Rayagada, following allegations of corruption and financial irregularities.

The raid, which began around 6 AM, was conducted by a six‑member team examining Tripathy’s movable and immovable assets, bank transactions, expenditure records, and property documents.

Investigators are probing charges that Tripathy allegedly prepared fake bills and manipulated records to misappropriate funds meant for farmer welfare schemes.

Sources said earlier complaints of corruption had been verified before the Vigilance Department initiated the operation.

The probe now focuses on asset accumulation patterns, sources of income, cooperative fund utilisation, and dealings tied to government schemes.

Tripathy may be taken to the LAMPCS office for further questioning as document verification and evidence collection continue.

The raid has intensified scrutiny on cooperative institutions and the implementation of the farmer welfare scheme in Odisha.
