Tragic Accident at Joda Mining Chowk: Woman Teacher Killed as Hyva Truck Hits Scooter
Barbil: A fatal road accident occurred this evening at National Highway-520 near Joda Mining Chowk.
A speeding Hyva truck (registration number OD-14-AG-8355) rammed into a two-wheeler Scooter (OD-09-J-9800) from behind, resulting in the instant death of the rider.
The deceased has been identified as Sunita Lohar (42), a resident of Joda Baneikala. She was serving as a teacher at Bileipada Shishu Vidya Mandir.
According to reports, she was returning home from school on her scooter when the accident took place.
Police reached the spot immediately, seized the body, and sent it to Tata Medical for a post-mortem.
The Hyva truck involved in the accident has been confiscated and kept at the local police station.
The incident has cast a shadow of grief across the community, with locals expressing concern over reckless driving by heavy vehicles on the busy mining route.
