Three Chariots Reach Saradhabali; Adapa Mandapa Rituals Tomorrow
Puri witnessed a divine spectacle as the three sacred chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra successfully reached Saradhabali today.
Taladhwaja, carrying Lord Balabhadra, arrived first, followed by Darpadalana of Devi Subhadra. Nandighosha, the grand chariot of Lord Jagannath, reached around 2:45 PM amid chants of “Jai Jagannath” and “Haribol”.
Morning rituals, including Dhupa Niti, were completed before the resumption of chariot pulling at 9:30 AM.
Devotees thronged the Saradhabali to offer prayers at the chariots stationed before the Adapa Mandapa.
Tomorrow, the Tri‑Murti — Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra — along with Lord Sudarshan, will be ceremonially taken into the Gundicha Temple sanctum.
The rituals will begin with Mangala Alati and continue through Sandhya Dhupa and Charamala Bandha.
Devotees will be allowed darshan after the completion of these sacred proceedings.
Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania confirmed that the Rath Yatra concluded peacefully, with tight security and coordinated efforts ensuring smooth crowd management.
