SLTC Meeting Over, Transfer Orders Awaited: Teachers Seek CM’s Intervention

The prolonged delay in issuing mutual transfer orders has left a large number of secondary school teachers waiting anxiously, nearly three months after the completion of the SLTC meeting.

The teachers said that the major stages of the mutual transfer process, including submission and verification of applications, have already been completed.

The SLTC meeting was also held to examine the cases. However, despite the completion of the required procedures, the final transfer orders are yet to be issued.

The continued delay has caused growing frustration among the applicants, many of whom had applied for mutual transfer with the expectation of returning closer to their families.

For several teachers, the transfer is closely linked to family responsibilities, including staying near and caring for elderly parents.

With no final order forthcoming despite repeated representations to the concerned authorities, the teachers have now sought the intervention of the Chief Minister.

Appeals have been sent through email and X, requesting immediate attention to the matter and early issuance of the pending mutual transfer orders.

The applicants have also sought clarity on the reason behind the delay.

They questioned why the orders have remained pending for such a long period when the SLTC meeting and other procedural formalities have already been completed.

*“When the meeting is over, and the process is complete, why are the transfer orders still pending?”* the teachers asked.

The applicants urged the authorities to consider their long-pending requests sympathetically and issue the transfer orders at the earliest.

They expressed hope that the Chief Minister’s intervention would help resolve the matter and bring an end to their prolonged wait.
