SI Exam Scam: CBI Arrests Two, Including SSB Jawan
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has intensified its probe into the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam, arresting two individuals, including a jawan from the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Officials confirmed that Arjun Nayak, the SSB personnel, was taken into custody after two days of interrogation.
Alongside him, Nimain Charan Sahu, a close associate of the previously arrested accused Biranchi Nayak, was also apprehended.
Both suspects underwent medical examinations before being brought to the CBI office for further questioning. Sources indicate that the arrests mark a significant step in unravelling the network behind the fraudulent recruitment process.
The scam, which has already led to multiple arrests, allegedly involved the manipulation of exam procedures and unfair advantages for certain candidates.
With Biranchi Nayak currently in CBI remand, investigators are expected to widen the scope of inquiry to identify more individuals linked to the racket.
Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those found guilty, as the case continues to expose deep-rooted irregularities in recruitment practices.
