Shock at Baramunda: Man Held for Attempted Rape of Woman and Child
Bhubaneswar, Nov 4: In a deeply disturbing incident, a 39-year-old man was arrested for attempting to rape a woman and her 10-year-old daughter at the Baramunda Bus Terminal in Bhubaneswar.
The accused, identified as Pabitra Kanhar from Begunipada in Ganjam district, allegedly approached the victims while they were waiting for a bus and tried to assault them.
The woman raised an alarm, prompting immediate intervention by bystanders and a swift response from Bharatpur police. A search operation was launched, and Kanhar was apprehended while attempting to flee the scene.
