SCB Data Operator Held in ₹1.40 Cr Salary Fraud

Cuttack: Manglabag police have arrested Dinesh Raut, a data entry operator at SCB Medical College and Hospital, for allegedly manipulating salary records and committing financial irregularities worth Rs 1.40 crore.

According to officials, Raut was responsible for handling salary data in the superintendent’s office.

An internal audit flagged discrepancies in employee salary records, revealing large‑scale mismanagement.

Following a formal complaint by the superintendent, police launched an investigation and apprehended Raut.

Authorities confirmed that further inquiry is underway to determine the extent of the fraud and whether additional staff were involved.
