Rath Yatra 2026: Top Officials Tighten Security in Puri
Puri: In preparation for the upcoming Rath Yatra 2026, senior officials convened a high-level security review meeting to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival.
The meeting was chaired by retired IPS officer Prakash Mishra and attended by Arabinda Padhee (IAS, Additional Chief Secretary), Soumendra Priyadarshi (IPS, ADG Modernisation), and Dr Satyajit Naik (IPS, IG Police, Central Range), along with other senior police and civil administration officers.
Discussions focused on inter-agency coordination, operational readiness, crowd management, traffic regulation, and emergency response mechanisms.
With millions of devotees expected to participate, officials emphasised meticulous planning and seamless execution to guarantee a safe and peaceful celebration.
