Rairangpur Student Earns Guinness World Record Recognition

Kaushik Kumar Hota, a student from Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district, has brought pride to Odisha by securing a place in the Guinness World Records.

Currently pursuing an Integrated B.A.–B.Ed. program at the Central University of Jharkhand, Kaushik achieved this feat by participating in the national program “The Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week” through the Mera Yuva Bharat (My Bharat) portal under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

With 3,90,812 participants, the event set a new global benchmark, officially certified by Guinness on June 4, 2026.

Kaushik has previously earned recognition in multiple record books, including the India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, International Book of Records, America Book of Records, and Golden Book of Records.

Son of retired Assistant Block Education Officer Harish Chandra Hota and teacher Anupama Nanda, Kaushik’s achievement has drawn widespread admiration and stands as an inspiration for youth across Odisha and India.
