Puri Murder Case: Elderly Woman’s Body Found Under Cement Plaster, Son Absconding
Puri police have identified the victim in the shocking cement plaster murder case that has unsettled locals in Kumbharpada.
The deceased has been confirmed as Annapurna Dalei, an elderly resident of Kharada village in Gajapati district.
Her body was discovered concealed under cement plaster, sparking widespread outrage.
After circulating CCTV images across districts, Kashinagar police identified her when relatives recognised her photograph.
Investigations revealed that Annapurna had been living with her younger son, Madan Dalei, in Puri for the past six months.
Madan, who reportedly had strained relations with his elder brother, is now absconding.
Police believe his arrest will expose the full conspiracy and motive behind the crime.
An additional SP of Puri stated that once Madan is apprehended, the case details will be fully revealed.
The gruesome concealment method and suspected involvement of close family members have left the community deeply disturbed.
