President Murmu Launches Education, Health & Tribal Welfare Projects in Rairangpur

Rairangpur, Odisha: President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated a series of landmark projects in her hometown, Rairangpur, aimed at transforming education, healthcare, sports, and tribal welfare in Mayurbhanj district.

The President unveiled the new Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University IT Campus and laid foundation stones for multiple initiatives, including an AYUSH Hospital cum Ayurvedic College, a new campus for Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, an archery training centre, and urban infrastructure upgrades.

She emphasised the government’s commitment to tribal empowerment, highlighting schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana, which ensures Minimum Support Price for over 90 minor forest products, and the Pradhan Mantri-JANMAN Yojana for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups.

Additional measures include micro-credit loans for self-help groups, low-interest loans for tribal women, electrification, and 4G connectivity in remote areas.

Addressing the gathering, President Murmu underscored the importance of employment generation and economic upliftment, stressing that tribal progress is central to building a stronger nation.

She called for collective efforts to achieve the vision of “Viksit Bharat by 2047.”

These projects mark a significant step in positioning Rairangpur as a hub for education, health, and cultural development, while reinforcing the government’s Purvodaya vision for accelerated growth in eastern India.
