PM Modi to Visit Odisha on Oct 25; President Murmu’s Tour Begins Oct 28

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is preparing for a series of high-profile visits as Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, is scheduled to tour the state on October 25, followed by President Droupadi Murmu’s visit beginning October 28, according to official sources.

To ensure smooth conduct of both visits, the Odisha government has initiated extensive security and logistical arrangements.

A high-level review meeting was recently held at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, with senior administrative and police officials participating in the discussions.

The meeting focused on strengthening security measures, route planning, traffic management, and overall coordination among various departments.

Authorities also reviewed infrastructure readiness for proposed public events, project inaugurations, and foundation stone-laying ceremonies that may take place during the visits.

Officials discussed creating green corridors and implementing multi-layer security arrangements to facilitate the movement of VVIPs.

Emergency response mechanisms and crowd management strategies were also reviewed as part of the preparations.

While the detailed itineraries are yet to be finalised, both visits are expected to feature programmes related to development initiatives, public infrastructure, and welfare measures in Odisha.

Final schedules will be announced after completion of security and protocol clearances.

The back-to-back visits by the Prime Minister and the President are expected to draw significant public and administrative attention, highlighting Odisha’s growing importance in national development and governance discussions.
