Paradip Tragedy: Couple Dies as Car Plunges into Water-Filled Pit

Paradip witnessed a tragic accident on Tuesday evening when a car skidded off the road and plunged into a waterlogged pit near Gada Bazaar.

The victims, identified as Bibhuti Bhushan Das, an employee of the Marine Department at Paradip Port, and his wife Pratima Das, lost their lives in the mishap.

According to preliminary reports, the vehicle hit a road divider, causing the driver to lose control before crashing into the pit.

Local police from Lock Station rushed to the site and initiated an investigation into the road conditions and circumstances surrounding the accident.

Authorities are examining whether poor road infrastructure and waterlogging contributed to the tragedy.
