Over 7 Lakh Farmers Register for Kharif 2026–27 Paddy Procurement in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: More than 7 lakh farmers across Odisha have successfully registered for paddy procurement under the Kharif 2026–27 season, according to official data.

On Saturday alone, over 1.20 lakh farmers completed the process, reflecting strong participation ahead of the August 31 deadline.

The Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Minister, Krushna Chandra Patra, assured that the registration system has been simplified to avoid bottlenecks and ensure smooth operations.

Farmers are advised to keep necessary documents ready and visit their nearest LAMPS, PACS, or Pani Panchayats to complete the process.

The government has reiterated its commitment to procure paddy from all registered farmers, urging those yet to register to do so before the deadline.
