Seven districts — Sonepur, Nuapada, Balangir, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, and Sambalpur — are under an Orange Alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Eighteen districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, and Debagarh, are under a Yellow Alert.
Five districts remain outside the warning zone.
Tomorrow, twelve western Odisha districts are expected to experience moderate rainfall under a Yellow Alert.
Authorities have cautioned fishermen against venturing into the sea as rough conditions are likely to persist.
