Odisha’s young talent, Debadatta Priyadarshi, has brought pride to the state by winning a gold medal at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad held in Tashkent.
Representing India as part of a four‑member team, Debadatta joined Harshit Singhal (Punjab), Kabeer Chhillar (Delhi), and Sandeep Kuchi (Telangana) in securing four gold medals—India’s best‑ever performance at the prestigious competition.
The Olympiad tested advanced theoretical and practical chemistry skills, showcasing the brilliance of young minds from across the globe.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the winners on X, praising their achievement and noting that their success will inspire countless students to pursue excellence in science.
