Odisha Vigilance Arrests Kotpada AEE in Disproportionate Assets Case

Odisha Vigilance officials have arrested Satyanarayan Sethy, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kotpada Block in Koraput district, for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Sethy was taken into custody and will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore.

During searches, Vigilance unearthed extensive holdings including two flats (one benami), three farms spanning 14 acres with mango and eucalyptus plantations, and 49 plots (17 benami).

Officials also seized 940 grams of gold, 2.5 kg of silver, Rs 5.48 lakh in cash, bank deposits exceeding Rs 60.92 lakh, and a benami Tata Harrier vehicle.
