Odisha Unveils ‘EKTA’ Initiative on National Handloom Day with Madhuri Dixit as Chief Guest

Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit graced the occasion as the chief guest, officially inaugurating the program alongside Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and Cooperation Minister Pradeep Balsamanta.

The event featured cultural performances and artisan showcases, highlighting Odisha’s rich textile heritage.

EKTA promises market access, training, and financial support for weavers, aligning with the state’s broader vision for sustainable livelihoods and indigenous industry revival.

Madhuri Dixit lauded Odisha’s commitment to preserving traditional crafts, calling EKTA a “modern platform for timeless artistry.” The initiative is expected to boost cooperative efforts and enhance the visibility of Odisha’s handloom products nationally and globally.
