Odisha Revises UG Admission Timeline for 2026–27
The Higher Education Department of Odisha has announced a revised schedule for undergraduate admissions under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for the 2026–27 academic session.
The updated timeline applies to all state public universities, government, aided, unaided colleges, and law colleges.
A major highlight this year is the introduction of free education for students enrolling in regular UG and PG courses under SAMS, marking a significant step toward accessible higher education.
Key Dates
- Choice Filling: July 8 (2 PM) – July 12 (11:45 PM)
- Second Round: Seat allotment on July 20; reporting/payment July 21–23
- Third/Final Round: Seat allotment on July 29; reporting/payment until August 1
- Waiting/Spot Round: Waitlist published August 4; reporting August 5–6
- Merit List: August 7; final admission and fee collection August 10–11
- Classes Begin: July 27, 2026 (Degree 1st Year)
- Phase‑II Admissions: To commence after CHSE supplementary results
