During the event, tribute was also paid to the 154 police personnel from different security forces across the country who lost their lives while performing their duties over the past year.

Addressing the gathering, Vinaytosh Mishra reaffirmed the commitment of the Odisha Police towards ensuring public safety and combating emerging threats.

He noted that while large-scale cross-border terrorism has significantly declined compared to previous decades, organised crime and cybercrime continue to pose serious challenges to law enforcement agencies.

The event witnessed the participation of police officers and personnel from various districts and units across Odisha.

The gathering served as a reminder of the courage, dedication, and sacrifices made by police forces in protecting citizens and upholding the rule of law.

The observance concluded with renewed pledges by police personnel to serve society with integrity, professionalism, and commitment while honouring the legacy of fallen heroes.
