Odisha Police Academy Holds 9th Batch Passing Out Parade
Bhubaneswar, April 6: The Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA) hosted the Passing Out Parade of the 9th batch of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy. S.P.) probationers, marking the culmination of rigorous training for five officers selected by the Odisha Public Service Commission.
The ceremony, presided over by Smt. Shyni S, IPS, ADGP & Director (Training), showcased the discipline and dedication of probationers Shrusty Pradhan, Dibya Ranjan Nath, Sourav Ranjan Pradhan, Samarth Kumar Behera, and Pankaj Kumar Majhi.
Their training combined indoor modules on constitutional law, human rights, ethics, and forensic science with outdoor drills in tactics, firing, combat, swimming, and firefighting.
Awards highlighted outstanding performance: Shrusty Pradhan received the Governor’s Medal and multiple trophies for excellence in academics and outdoor training, while Sourav Ranjan Pradhan and Pankaj Majhi were also recognised for their achievements.
Faculty members were felicitated for their contributions to shaping the new officers.
BPSPA, previously honoured with the Union Home Minister’s Trophy in 2021 as India’s best police training institute, reaffirmed its commitment to empathy, discipline, and people‑centric policing values.
