Odisha MLAs Visit Telangana Assembly to Strengthen Legislative Practices

A seven‑member delegation from the Odisha Legislative Assembly, led by Standing Committee‑7 Chairman Sudhir Ranjan Pattjoshi, visited Telangana from August 6, 2026.

The team included MLAs Tusharkanti Behera, Tankadhar Tripathy, Agasti Behera, Durga Charan Tanti, and committee chairpersons Ishwar Chandra Nayak and Prashant Kumar Das.

On August 7, the delegation interacted with the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, the Chairman of the Legislative Council, and other committee leaders.

They also held detailed discussions with senior officials from key departments including Industries, Steel & Mines, Forest & Environment, Commerce & Transport, Planning & Convergence, and Skill Development & Technical Education.

The visit focused on understanding legislative procedures, departmental management, and budgetary review mechanisms.

Odisha’s legislators emphasised the importance of adopting best practices from Telangana to enhance governance, strengthen oversight, and improve efficiency in Odisha’s legislative and departmental systems.
