Odisha Health Minister Urges Vigilance, Dispels COVID‑19 Panic
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling has appealed to citizens to remain alert about COVID‑19 developments while avoiding unnecessary panic.
Chairing a high‑level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan, the minister emphasised that the state is fully prepared to tackle any emerging situation.
The meeting, attended by Health Secretary Ashwati S., National Health Mission Director Brinda D., and senior officials, assessed the state’s readiness and coordination with the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Dr Mahaling urged people to rely only on official sources, dismiss rumours, and continue following health safety protocols.
He reassured that there is no cause for alarm at present, but vigilance remains essential.
The proactive review reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening Odisha’s health system and maintaining public confidence during evolving circumstances.
