Odisha Governor Hails Koraput Coffee Initiative
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati has lauded the state government’s efforts to promote Koraput coffee under the Adisha brand, highlighting its role in strengthening tribal livelihoods and entrepreneurship.
During his visit to the Adisha Koraput Coffee Outlet at Rupali Square, Bhubaneswar, accompanied by First Lady Dr Jayashree Kambhampati, the Governor emphasised the importance of connecting tribal producers to wider markets.
Senior officials including B. Parameswaran, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of ST & SC Development Department, and Dr Poma Tudu, MD of TDCCOL, were present.
Koraput coffee, grown in the tribal highlands of southern Odisha, is renowned for its distinctive flavour and quality.
The Adisha brand aims to expand market presence, promote indigenous products, and enhance income opportunities for tribal communities.
Dr Kambhampati noted that such initiatives not only preserve indigenous products but also generate sustainable livelihoods, contributing to inclusive economic growth across the state.
