Odisha Gears Up for Republic Day 2026: Governor to Lead State Ceremony
Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to celebrate Republic Day 2026 with grand state‑level and district‑level ceremonies across the state.
The Governor of Odisha will unfurl the National Flag and take the salute at the official state function in Bhubaneswar on January 26.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will hoist the flag in Cuttack, while Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will preside over ceremonies in Koraput and Khordha, respectively.
Several cabinet ministers have been assigned to lead celebrations in key districts. Suresh Pujari will be in Puri, Rabi Narayan Naik in Bargarh, Nityananda Gond in Rayagada, Krushna Chandra Patra in Keonjhar, Prithviraj Harichandan in Dhenkanal, Mukesh Mahaling in Kandhamal, Bibhuti Bhusan Jena in Malkangiri, Krushna Chandra Mahapatra in Bhadrak, Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia in Kalahandi, Suryabanshi Suraj in Nayagarh, Pradeep Bal Samanta in Sambalpur, Gokulananda Mallik in Balasore, and Sampad Chandra Swain in Boudh.
Collectors and RDCs will oversee ceremonies in Kendrapada, Berhampur, Rourkela, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Subarnapur, and Sundargarh.
In case ofthe absence of any dignitary, the concerned Collector or ADM will unfurl the flag and take the salute.
The elaborate arrangements reflect Odisha’s commitment to honouring the spirit of the Republic and ensuring participation across all districts.
