Odisha Gears Up for OSSSC Physical Tests; Chief Secretary Reviews Readiness

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has intensified preparations for the upcoming Physical Standard Measurement and Physical Efficiency Tests under the Combined Recruitment Examination-2025 (II), with Chief Secretary Anu Garg reviewing the readiness of districts and concerned departments.

During a high-level review meeting, the Chief Secretary stressed the importance of conducting the recruitment process in a transparent, fair and disciplined manner.

The physical tests are being organised for candidates shortlisted for the posts of Forester, Forest Guard and Excise Constable.

Officials informed the meeting that thousands of eligible candidates are expected to participate in the physical examinations across various districts of the state.

Directions were issued to ensure that all venues are adequately equipped with essential facilities, including drinking water, sanitation arrangements, food support and security measures.

To strengthen transparency in the recruitment process, authorities have decided to videograph the physical tests of all candidates and preserve the recordings for future reference.

Given the physically demanding nature of the examinations, special emphasis has been placed on candidate safety.

Medical teams, first-aid facilities and Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances will be deployed at examination centres to handle any emergency situations.

The Chief Secretary also instructed district collectors and senior officials to closely monitor preparations and ensure strict adherence to the prescribed guidelines.

The review focused on providing a safe, efficient and candidate-friendly environment during the conduct of the tests.

The comprehensive arrangements reflect the state government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and credible recruitment process while safeguarding the welfare of candidates participating in the examinations.
