Odisha Extends CM’s Road Scheme Till 2030‑31

The Odisha Government has announced the extension of the Chief Minister’s Road Scheme (MMSY‑CUVDA) for another five years, until 2030‑31.

With an estimated budget of Rs 1,300 crore, the scheme aims to construct 1,150 km of new roads and bridges across remote and inaccessible regions of the state.

The initiative prioritises tribal, backward, and Maoist‑affected areas, with the goal of improving connectivity, enhancing access to essential services, and fostering inclusive growth.

Officials emphasised that the scheme will accelerate development in vulnerable zones, strengthen administrative outreach, and create new economic opportunities.

To ensure quality and timely completion, the government has outlined strict monitoring mechanisms, maintenance protocols, and coordination with district administrations.

This extension underscores Odisha’s commitment to bridging infrastructure gaps and driving sustainable development in its most underserved regions.
