Odisha Expands Ayushman Bharat Coverage to Cancer Treatments

In a significant step toward accessible healthcare, the Odisha government has announced the inclusion of 121 new cancer treatment packages under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

These packages cover chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and complex surgeries, ensuring that patients no longer face financial hurdles in continuing treatment.

Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling highlighted the government’s commitment to providing timely and quality healthcare for economically disadvantaged families.

With this expansion, Ayushman Bharat card holders can avail cancer care at government hospitals and empanelled private institutions across the state.

The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of households, strengthen Odisha’s public healthcare system, and advance the goal of affordable and equitable healthcare for all.
