Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Launches ₹40,811 Crore Industrial Projects in Khordha

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has laid the foundation stone for 11 new projects and inaugurated 25 completed ones, marking a significant milestone in the state’s industrial growth.

The 36 projects, worth Rs 40,811 crore, are expected to generate over 59,000 direct and indirect jobs across multiple districts.

The initiatives span diverse sectors, including green energy equipment, metals, textiles, plastics, tourism, agriculture and food processing, defence, IT, automobiles, and cement.

This push is part of Odisha’s broader industrial revolution, with 109 projects worth nearly Rs 2.5 lakh crore launched in the past 20 months, creating 1.76 lakh jobs.

Majhi assured investors of robust government support, including land, power, water, connectivity, and fast approvals, with direct access to the CM’s office for issue resolution.

He emphasised the vision of building a self-reliant “Samriddha Odisha,” aiming for global recognition by 2036.

The Union Budget has earmarked Rs 72,000 crore—6.5% of the state’s GDP—for infrastructure development, further strengthening Odisha’s industrial ecosystem.

The event saw participation from senior leaders and industrialists, including Adani Ports MD Karan Adani, underscoring confidence in Odisha’s growth trajectory.
