Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: In a landmark step toward youth empowerment and transparent governance, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today distributed appointment letters to 7,293 candidates across 12 government departments during the 12th Recruitment Fair and Training Program 2025 at Kalinga Stadium.
The event marks a significant milestone, with the state government achieving 37,325 appointments in just 17 months—over halfway to its ambitious target of 65,000 jobs in two years.
Addressing the recruits, the CM emphasised integrity in public service, warning against corruption as “poison” that could derail careers and lives.
He urged the new employees to serve with compassion, strive for excellence, expand their knowledge, and uphold transparency.
Appointments spanned diverse sectors, including education, forestry, agriculture, home, fisheries, and transport. Notably, 40 stenographers were appointed on a regular basis for the Advocate General’s Office for the first time.
Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and other ministers praised the initiative, highlighting its role in strengthening governance and ensuring quality service delivery.
The government also underscored its industrial job pipeline, with projects worth Rs 2 lakh crore expected to create 1.5 lakh additional jobs.
This recruitment drive reflects Odisha’s commitment to merit-based hiring, youth empowerment, and building a corruption-free administration.
