Odia Diaspora Meet in Varanasi Strengthens Odisha Connect

Varanasi witnessed a vibrant Odia Diaspora Meet during Odisha Parab 2026, bringing together community leaders, policymakers, and cultural icons to reinforce Odisha’s global identity.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, serving as Chief Guest, highlighted the diaspora’s role in preserving Odia heritage while contributing to the state’s development.

The event featured deliberations on tourism, investment, and cultural exchange.

A roadshow showcased Odisha’s 15 master destinations, including Puri, Konark, Ratnagiri, Hirakud, Chilika, Bhitarkanika, and Similipal, positioning the state as a hub for eco‑tourism, wildlife, adventure, and experiential travel.

Speakers emphasised Odisha’s potential in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism, aligning with Odisha Vision 2036 & 2047.

The meet underscored inclusivity, sustainability, and prosperity as guiding principles for Odisha’s future, while strengthening the diaspora’s emotional and economic connection with their homeland.
