Nuapada Schools Closed Amid Heavy Rainfall Alert
Nuapada district administration has declared a holiday for all schools following a red zone warning issued by the Regional Meteorology Centre.
District Collector Madhusudan Das directed the District Education Officer to suspend classes in government, private, and aided institutions to safeguard students.
The decision comes as heavy downpours pose risks to school infrastructure and student safety.
Authorities emphasised that the closure is a precautionary measure, urging parents to keep children at home until conditions improve.
Classes will resume once the red alert is lifted, with officials monitoring the situation closely.
