Naveen Patnaik Urges Kendrapada BJD Leaders to Gear Up for Panchayat Polls

Bhubaneswar, July 12: Senior BJD leaders from Kendrapada met party president Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas to chalk out strategies ahead of the upcoming Panchayat elections.

The meeting focused on strengthening the party’s organisational base, intensifying grassroots outreach, and consolidating recent electoral gains.

Among those present were Ganeswar Behera, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Debi Prasad Mishra, Pratap Kesari Deb, and Dhruba Charan Sahoo, along with newly elected Zilla Parishad members.

Leaders highlighted BJD’s strong performance in Kendrapada, where the party secured all Zilla Parishad seats.

Congratulating them, Naveen Patnaik urged leaders to begin rigorous groundwork immediately, emphasising unity and proactive engagement with voters.

District leaders dismissed concerns of desertions, affirming their commitment to collective leadership under Patnaik.

The meeting is seen as a strategic move to consolidate BJD’s base in Kendrapada, a politically significant coastal district, and to counter opposition momentum ahead of the polls.
