Nabarangpur Police Solve Murder Case in 24 Hours, Two Arrested

Nabarangpur police cracked a murder case within 24 hours, arresting two accused involved in the death of Jagannath Gouda (38) of Biriguda village.

Gouda was found hanging near a cashew tree on May 10, initially staged as a suicide.

Following a complaint by his father, police registered Case No. 59/2026 under Kodinga Police Station.

A special team led by SDPO Satyajit Kandankel and IIC Dipak Jena, under the supervision of SP Sandeep Madkar, uncovered that the victim was assaulted with a kendu stick and strangled with a napkin before the body was staged.

The accused, Padman Gouda (25) and Ganesh Gouda (19), were arrested, and forensic teams recovered incriminating evidence, including the assault weapon and clothing.

The swift investigation highlights the efficiency of Nabarangpur police in exposing the attempted cover‑up and ensuring justice for the victim’s family.
